Recently: V for Vendetta - quite possibly one of the top choices for dumb movie title, I don't care if its good or not, the title has already made me not want to see it.

Less Recently: Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow - see above explanation.

Along that line of thinking, we should discard exciting titles altogether, opting instead for short summaries of the movie. For example:

Star Wars I,II,III -- Special Effects Whorage!

The Matrix -- It's Not Real, But We Can't Stop Talking About It.

I think a friend of mine might have the DVD of the MST3K episode where they did that one. As I recall, it didn't really have any zombies in it.

V for Vendetta is based off a graphic novel with the same title, so they sort of had to use it. And it never struck me as a terrible title.
