Any chiptune fans? Anyone even know what they are? :) Just looking for some recommendations for original chip artists (not people that replicate old nintento songs...) to check out.

If you don't know what I'm talking about:

You looking for original chiptunes, or for more modern stuff done by chiptune authors?

The ones I know of that are pretty good that have moved on to newer things are Radix, Skaven, and Dr. Awesome; most of it is electronic/ambient music.

Radix is now releasing stuff as mosaik at http://www.mosaik.se/

Other scene artists that I know of with albums are Bjorn Lynne, Aural Planet, Allister Brimble, Jogier Liljedahl, and Purple Motion.

Also, you might want to check out Nectarine streaming radio at http://www.scenemusic.net/ if you're into that sort of thing.

Well usually I listen to the actual chiptunes, not mp3 albums. I've been getting stuff from http://www.chip-on.com since the site was recommended to me a couple weeks ago.

I do want more modern authors, not original chiptunes, like i mentioned in my post :)

I'll have to check out some of that stuff you mentioned. Thanks.

If you want a recommendation, try maktone!
