I don't really know anything about headphones. All I know is that Sennheiser is known for quality and durability and I don't want to spend a lot. Beyond that, not much else.
I will be using these a lot for playing games and a little for music. My main concerns with headphones are comfort. They have to completely enclose my ear (these two seem to do that), they can't hurt my ear after half an hour of wearing, and they can't hurt the top of my head (where the strap goes across). For some reason, that last issue comes up a lot; I don't know exactly how it hurts so much but it often does.
Any experience with either of those? Or if you're an audiophile can you recommend me one of those?

I have the sennheiser hd201's and they are quite amazing. They are my first pair of decent headphones, sound is great, super comfortable, and pretty cheap. I got mine for free via pepsi stuff botting, but I think they were around $25 ish on amazon so watch out for a deal.
Sennheiser also regularly runs rebate coupons if you send in a pair of any type of headphone to get a certain amount off a new pair.
One of my friends has a pair and they sound f'in amazing. 4 speakers per cup for true 6-channel surround sound and velvet(I think) ear muff things. The only bad thing is the price.

5.1 surround headphones are stupid and impossible. The .1 comes from having a sub channel. Headphones won't really handle this channel well, if at all. Most the time you can't tell it's surround anyways.
That coupled with the fact that you have like 5 jacks to plug in makes them a major pain. Go with the HD201's

you dont need multiple speakers for surround on headphones, just look up on youtube directional audio tracks. If you have a decent sound card and headphones you can imitate it just the same with most sources.

Blitz, those headphones have 3 regular speakers and 1 large sub speaker for the .1, there are only 3 plugs(2 per channel), and they do work great. I have an old pair that had 3 speakers per ear and they worked amazingly. I would be playing a game and It would creep me out while playing a game like FEAR or Condemned cause I would here a noise behind me, turn around, and be attacked by an enemy.

Back on topic, I have the eh150s. They are very nice for the price. The one thing I can say is that the due to the way they are size adjustable (the earcups move not the band part) after 2 years of use sometimes they slip down a little on my head after long use. That being said I have worn them for 5+ hours easily with no discomfort. I'd probably go with the slightly better ones.

You know, I thought I made it unBELIEVABLY clear that those were the only two choices, for very specific reasons, and that I wasn't looking for any "no, buy THESE <insert grossly retarded suggestion>" Why is your suggestion retarded? Because on my old computer, with no soundcard just using the base motherboard sound drivers and a $20 pair of Radioshack headphones, I could tell where an enemy was in counterstrike source both by distance and direction, so if you need a "5.1 Surround Sound headphone" kit to tell directions then you've got shit fucked up somewhere. So yeah, thanks for nothing though.
To Alex, Scott, uhh.....computer nerd, thanks. I think I'm probably gonna go with the HD201s, they seem like they'd be a lot less cheap feeling (cause of the cup moving part on the 150s).

Agreed. Anyone who's heard anything encoded with Dolby Headphone would know beyond a doubt that just 2 speakers are all that's necessary - headphones are right over your ears, and you only have 2 of those. With proper audio encoding (many games do this) any headset becomes better than a 5.1 setup. If you don't believe me watch a regular episode of Diggnation, then one filmed at Dolby. If you use any pair of headphones (I listened with standard iPod headphones) you'll hear the difference right away.
