Not really. I have been to Abel a couple times. I don't really like him that much. It seems he always tries to sell you a new bike whenever you are in there. He also charges a lot to get bikes fixed and his place is a mess most of the time.
I have heard really good things about Route 66 Bikes, but I have never been in there.

I wasn't very impressed with Abel at all. The place was a mess, including about a dozen just trashed bikes outside the only entrance to the store. He "only carries the best bikes", but many of the bikes in there were mismatched pieces, like he only carries secondhand or something. He didn't talk to me hardly at all [I told him I was looking into possibly fixing my bike, so the prospect of a sale went out the window I guess].
I like Route66 a lot more. The place was clean and professional, with a good selection of bikes, most of which seemed to be quality to me. The guy working there was friendly and helpful. Now I just need to get a job there....

it's off kings highway. Heading towards walmart on 63, turn left onto kingshighway. the road will fork, take the right fork and it will be right in front of you.

It looks like a house, and has "BIKES" in big letters on the roof. Address is 509 w 5th.
yeah, route 66 is good. danno can be a jerk sometimes though. he has his moods. but overall, it's a good shop. Abel's is a mess. I've heard horror stories about waits on getting repairs done. But, if you're looking for a frame cheap for a project bike, that pile outside is gold. Otherwise, if you have whatever parts you need, or if you just want maintainance, the UMR Cycling Club hosts an open shop where they'll work on your bikes for free on fridays from 2:30-4:30 on frat row. Although this week it'll only be until 3:30 because of that Friday the 13th Scavenger Hunt thing.
Mwag, I don't suppose that includes parts, does it? I am not sure entirely, but I think my bike's rear axle is broken and/or missing bearings. You think they could fix that?

we could always have a look at it and tell you what you need. we also have a used parts box that we can use to make your bike rideable in the meantime. but yeah, i wish we could order parts too. it would be sweet.
