Im looking for a good place around Rolla to get my clutch replaced. It is currently over at Zane's but I didnt know if there was a better place to get this done, and also cheaper. They are talking 800ish. So any suggestions?

Zane's is probably the best place in town to get it done.
All American Auto on 18th will probably do it cheaper, but they have pretty shoddy workmanship. The odds would be pretty high that they'd replace the clutch correctly, but you'll be back there later because they'll have messed something else up.

I've been looking for the same thing and all the guys that i work with (who live in rolla) told to go to some place over on sixth street. I think the name was Martie's but I'm not for sure.

I've been looking-ish into this for my car too. The clutch is starting to slip in higher gears so it's going to need to be done soon.
For my car, a new clutch is about $200. According to some car forums, it will take about 5 hours if I'm good, all day if I'm bad, and I wouldn't really need any special tools besides a torque wrench and a transmission lift (Which I'm figuring someone around here has that I can borrow.) Otherwise I'll probably pay 400-700 to a shop to have it done. And I don't have that kind of money.
If you get yours done, post back and let me know how much it was and how the work turned out. If it's cheap enough, I might go that route, otherwise... here's to mech e friends

I took it to A & G Transmission just past Lowe's and he said that if it is the clutch then it would be between 400-600 depending on parts. I called the Toyota dealer in St. Roberts and they quoted 550, which I take as the high end. Ill repost once I get the call back with an actual quote.
