Story

Holy crap, I can't believe this. Jocketty has long been regarded as being in the upper echelon of general managers. Apparently there was a rift of some kind in the front office.

With a new GM, could the Cardinals finally be moving toward a younger team?

NO WAY. Well, holy crap. He was the reason we had so many good players (although I will admit his decisions the past couple of years have been suspect at best). You can't blame him for Mulder, as when we picked him up no one could have guessed that all the injuries were going to happen, and it was a really good move...

The Cardinals have, right now, a young team, but not a good young team. I don't know what a new GM would do for us.

BTW, good game going between the Rockies and Phillies right now.

Yes. Chase Utley is my favorite player. Go Phillies!

New GM: trade Pujols for Utley. ;)

Well, Rockies took game 1. I actually predicted the Phillies to win it all, but if they can't even win the NLDS... Actually, the Rockies are red hot, and I wouldn't have a problem if they won it all. They sure worked hard enough for it the last couple of weeks of the season.

And Utley for Pujols? You're crossing into dangerous territory from this Cardinal's fan. ;) Honestly, I'd love to see us pull some strings and pick up Andruw Jones. I know this season wasn't exactly good for him, but he'll come back, and god knows we need a decent center fielder.

Utley = 0 for 4 with 4 strikeouts. I must've jinxed him.

Andruw's a young version of Jim Edmonds, but it seems much more likely that we'd go with Rasmus in center.

GOD Yes!!!

If tha cardinals need anything right now, it is 2 or 3 good starting pitchers. That has been the weak point for the cardinals for the past couple of years. Honestly, them winning the world series last year was nothing short of luck with the condition of their pitching. This year's outcome was inevitable.
