Anyone know why we are one of the few places to have cheerwine soda offered?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cheerwine

Quote:
Cheerwine is available in most of the southeastern United States, from West Virginia south to Georgia, but is better known and has been a longtime favorite in the Carolinas and Virginia. It is famous in Charleston, South Carolina and along the Carolina coast. Other spots to find Cheerwine are the many "specialty soda" stores throughout the country, such as The Fondren Beverage Emporium in Jackson, Mississippi. In April of 2005, other regions of the United States began to bottle Cheerwine; mainly through Pepsi distributors. The first area outside the traditional market area was Quincy, Illinois. Other areas added recently include Burlington, Iowa; Duluth, Minnesota; Chattanooga, Tennessee (in certain stores); Tulsa, Oklahoma; Topeka, Kansas; Rolla, Missouri; and the University Of Nebraska-Lincoln, in Nebraska. It can be found in vending machines in eastern Ohio and in Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology of Terre Haute, Indiana, and in some restaurants in San Francisco, California.

Cheerwine is a great soda. I've bought it the few times i see it at walmart. Discovered it freshman year in TJ. Wish I could find it more places.

I think the Pepsi distributor here just pushes it hard. I was in charge of the soda trailer and soda order for last greek week for the Greek Games, Linking Hearts, etc and Pepsi kept suggesting cheerwine as a good purchase.

It isn't offered by pepsi in the fountain anymore, we used to have it at my work but they stopped giving it to us.

I found out that I have a heart condition preventing me from consuming caffeine of any sort, and I discovered this about a year before everybody discovered cheerwine and started talking about how great it was. Hell, I just miss RC Cola and chocolate.

The Pepsi distributor here recently dropped Cheerwine for a fake-brand Dr. Pepper called Dr. Wells. I don't like.

Cheerwine's really big in the Southeast.

Yeah, i really miss Cheerwine. It kinda tasted like a cherry Dr. Pepper to me. I used to buy it at Walmart as well, but since then they've stopped selling it. Bastards.
