So there's a new restaurant over on 6th street in the building that L.L. Dogs was in. Bizarrely enough, they offer "Lunch, Dinner, and Fine Chocolates." I guess it's the niche they're going for. So yeah, they sell fine chocolates and the cheesecake on their menu comes from the Cheesecake Factory. But more importantly, the food is really good and cheap. It ranges the gamut from burgers to sandwiches to fancier food (I got a citrus honey chicken breast). It was probably the most tender, juiciest piece of chicken I've ever had. Nothing on the menu is over $10 as well.

Can you be more specific about the menu? I avoided LL because the menu was simplistic and overpriced.

That and the fact that you never leave your house.

I went for lunch today and was not in the least impressed with the food or service. I waited 45 minutes for a burned philly cheese and my wife got a sandwich that didn't even have to be cooked (though I think it was heated). And that was $20 with tip. I could have done better at Denny's.

Granted, it was like their second day or something. I'll go back, once more, probably in a month or so, one afternoon when I'm not worried about going to class in an hour.

They decorated nicely, though, and they got that place turned around and ready in maybe a week. Hopefully they'll continue to improve.

Well, they had sandwiches, like Italian Combos, Philly Cheesesteaks, hamburgers, and more that I can't remember. They had like 5 or 6 dinner entrees, like the chicken I mentioned earlier, fried chicken, a few more I can't remember. The appetizer's were Applebees-ish; for example, we got a shrimp cocktail. They had 3 or 4 dinner salads, I remember at least a chicken salad and a salmon salad.

Fuck dude, just go. The menu is not oversimplified, there's a lot of variety, and like I already mentioned, it's cheap.

I really, really liked L. L. Dogs (got to know the owners pretty well), but it's nice to know that something decent is replacing it. I'll give it a shot here probably tomorrow.

There's nothing like having two seven-year-olds working the register. But yeah, I liked LL Dogs too.

If the sum of their ages is high enough, it's not a violation of child labor laws, right?

They were home schooled, that was their economics class. Seeing as how the the business tanked, I'd say they failed.

Just got back from there. Service wasn't too bad. Obviously our waitress was new, but she was attentive. Food was pretty damn good. I ended up having the philly cheesesteak which, apart from needing a little salt, was really good. However, when I go back, I'll definitely order what my wife had. She got the BBQ pork sandwich which was ridiculously tasty and GIGANTIC. For $7, it was a good deal.

You know what I find super weird about Rolla's food choices. The fact that a town this size can support 2 sushi places and 6 chinese restaurants (6 total restaurants).

I think I might try it out this weekend. Sounds new and delicious while not being too pricey. Worth a shot.
