The Rolla Public School District is in extremely short supply of bus drivers. The times you would work are usually easy to work your class schedule around. Several older drivers have recently retired, and so new drivers are in high demand. You must be 21 years old to drive. Training is provided, starting wages are around $15+/hr for driving, $8+/hr for training, and once you are contracted, you are guaranteed pay for at least 1.5 hours every morning and afternoon every day there is school, as long as you drive (so if your route usually only takes 1 hour, you are still paid for 1.5).
It is a pretty good deal, and I have done it for nearly 3 years now. I'd normally not post this here, but the shortage is beginning to affect me personally, so rather than getting bent out of shape about it, I am trying some recruiting.
For more information, call Sally Droste (Transportation Supervisor) at 573-458-0125.

Most routes start between 6:30 and 7:00 and end at 8:00 in the mornings. In the afternoons, you are expected to be present at 2:45 and most routes end between 3:45 and 4:15.
