So a group of my friends are renting two apartments that are side by side from investment. They started them together and then added one person on each separately. So we compare out rent. One is paying $475 the other $525, When my group went to add someone we were told that it would be a 100 extra a month. Now the other side started at 475 and was told that they only increase after adding another person after that. What the hell?

Yeah, sometimes I think IR is smokin' dope. And they have to fund their dope habits somehow.

Stay away from IR if you can. My rent is $475 a month with Brown Rentals / Century 21 no matter how many people live here...

I'm sure someone could look up the old IR threads where I've posted my story.

I hope I am not reviving any more dead threads on the top 7 on the front page more so than Heretic has claimed I have 8) ...

Brown is no good either. They showed me an apartment, I took it. One day before I was to move in she sent me an email about the non-refundable $200 pet deposit for my cat AFTER I had already paid the security deposit and the first month rent.

The day I moved in, I wasn't given the apartment I was shown and promised because 'it had already been leased out'... A year later and no one STILL lives there.... Instead I got one that had cigarette burns in the carpet and reeked of smoke inside. Not to mention the SPIDERS!!!! Still fighting the battle against them.... All I ever ask is that the landlord leaves me alone, and they do. Haven't had to talk to them, so it all works out.

Sounds like somebody broke your lease, and it wasn't you. Have more backbone than that. Also, it doesn't hurt to actually READ the thing before you sign it.
