I'm looking at class rings before graduation, and I'm on the official site for them here: http://ww2.balfour.com/orp/default.aspx?sec=rings&id=mo89 Personally, I really dislike the official design of our class rings, and the website has a bunch of broken links. After cruising around the net out of curiosity, I run across this page here http://extranet.herffjones.com/college/rings/index.cfm which has a more traditional setup for designing a class ring, and they have a listing for University of Missouri-Rolla. I'm just wondering how legit this is, and if anyone knows about this, or any other legit options for getting a more traditional-style UMR/MST class ring. I don't have a whole lot of information on them otherwise. I'll probably go pester the bookstore people about it too after I get back in town Sunday. Thanks

Unless I'm missing the whole concept of a class ring, why in the world would you get one when graduating from a university?
There's no real "class" in terms of going to a university (IMHO), unless you have a large group of friends pursuing the same degree and progress through the level of classes at the same rate. So basically, this "class ring" you're wanting to waste... I mean invest money in is going to do nothing more than show which year you graduated. Since you're already getting one when you graduate, why not just use your diploma for that?

*shrug* saw some a few people i know got last year after they got their BS, and I never got one in high school, so I was just lookin out of curiosity. nm then
Meh....I paid enough money to get a piece of paper that says I graduated college, I don't want to spend any more to get a ring that says I graduated college.

My HS class ring cost around $580 IIRC. You know where it's been for the past several years?

Duke, I know people that are getting rings. I like the ones that are on the page you found, rather than the ones from the bookstore. I still don't know if I want one. Not a big fan of bling.
