KMNR's transmitter is currently on top of a Sprint tower, and we're upgrading to 1500 watts from 450. The new transmitter is going to go on that tower.

My roomie agrees with the new KMNR antenna info (I am excited for this~), and some of the other ones up there are the amateur radio repeater and police repeater, as well.

Yep, it's the TV station repeater. Which makes sense since the station is owned by the University of Missouri. I figured someone on seek could find the answer. Thanks.
Chad_S is right, the big-ass tower on top of TJ North is for K07SD, which is a translator station for KOMU (Ch 8 Columbia -> Ch 7 Rolla). They're shutting that down soon and giving it to KMNR, and KMNR's power will be increased to about 1800-1900 Watts from the current power of 450 Watts (I'm the former KMNR Chief Engineer who started the whole moving/upgrade process).
Also, bagvwf, your radio receiver sucks. KMNR is loud and clear up I-44 until about Cuba, when it starts running into some Christian station that's also on 89.7 MHz.

I was actually picking it up clearly Thursday night in Rolla. Decided to see if anyone was actually on KMNR and was like what the hell. Who is quoting the bible on KMNR? Then they did a station ID and said it was from Colorado. Then everyone in the car was really confused.
