Attention:
User Quarantine Notification
A mail box user quarantine exercise is currently going on. we are carrying out a (inactive email-accounts / spam protecting) clean-up process to enable service upgrade efficiency. Please be informed that we will delete all mailbox accounts that do not adhere to this notice. You are to provide your email account details for Quarantine exercise and protection against spammers/hackers as follows (This will confirm your MST mailbox login/usage Frequency):
All IT utilities will not change during this period, This will not affect the operation of your mail box systems or the manner in which you currently login to your mailbox. Email access and usage will be disabled if you fail to comply with the above.
Anyone dumb enough to fall for that, especially when one line of the email says "University of Missouri" and the next line of the email gives an address in California, deserves whatever they have coming to them.
Here ya go. I'm in the gmail test group if it matters at all.

I switched to GMail as well, and no, I didn't get that e-mail.
While it is a painfully obvious phishing attempt, there are painfully stupid people out there. Did you forward this e-mail along to (the real) IT? It'd be fun to get a fake account setup and reply to that e-mail to see where/how it gets used.
Giving them a fake account would be a bad idea. They'd then have access to the names and contact information of everyone at the university. They may also gain (unintended of course) access to other university systems, which they could then exploit.
