I'm out in the mountains of NM, so can anyone back in Hell tell me how the two new buildings are progressing, or not progressing, as they did all winter?

I think that they can have the Haevener Center open...now the res college, that's a lost cause. That I don't see getting done for at least another year. The Havener center is starting to look like an actual building now, and since they have the structure done they can now do all kinds of things at the same time. I'm giving this one a first of August finish time, but then again I don't really know anything about it so I could be way off.

The Havener Center will be open for use by August 1, because the bookstore is supposed to be moving in starting July 31. From some of the rumors that I've heard all around campus, ONE wing of the res college is supposed to be open by fall, with the other opening either mid-semester or after the winter break. I could be wrong, but that's just what I heard.

As far as I understand the Res College--The north wing is supposed to be completed first, as it is the closest of the two wings to completion right now. Reslife had toyed with the idea of moving some res college guys in there at the start of school; however, as all of the utility drops for the building are going to be at the very end of the west wing, this is unlikely to happen.
Who knows--maybe the contractors will get around to finishing it sometime this century.
I wouldn't want to live in the Res College. I'd be afraid that a semi truck would veer off 63 highway and crash into the east wing, killing all the occupants....

Why not? Liberation from Rolla, free of charge... Logic previals in this situation

Humm....you may have a vaild point there. With the soaring coasts of ammunition and hanging rope, living in the Res College may be a far cheaper way to commit suicide.
I agree completely, living off campus owns. EX: Burnt pizza from the oven >> TJ Chartwells
Plus it'll only cost you $1 if you grab a totinoes party pizza, as opposed to the $6 you pay per meal at TJ. Also, Walmart has fully cooked rotisserie chickens for $4. Buy one of those along with some noodles and vegetables, and you've got a good dinner for two or three days.
Damn I love living off campus. Makes me wish I didn't spend those seven semesters in TJ...
