Well, it's sad to say, but I'm taking a year out of UMR for personal reasons. Here's the list of things i'll miss about UMR:

1. The internet access. back home, I have 56K dialup.
2. The "You are downloading too much, so we're gonna think you're running an illegal server" nastygrams from IT. (i got one of these earlier in the year for pulling an ftp install of SuSE Linux (about 4.5 gigs in an hour and a half!))
3. The DMCA violations. (hehe i avoided this one, but i'm trying!)
4. The TJ food. (not really.)
5. my friends bagvwf, gamer-girl (a "special" friend), and a few others...
6. access to seek42's share searcher.
7. St. Pats.
8. the parties.

and i can't think of any others...

I miss civilization. Rolla may be a small city, but at least it's a city. I live in the sticks, it sucks here more than Rolla has ever sucked.

Well, im sorry you think the grotto is shitty but i think it rocks. And that shamrock, well we (st pats board) spend an entire night painting that thing every semester so if you think it is shitty, go repaint it yourself.
