You're right, I think. It's a very similar situation though, the local .gov using its authority to force people out of their homes for the benefit of a private business. Doesn't matter what it's called.
Not quite, it looks like they "cut off" his business by blocking access to the road and sewer. And they wouldn't even let him build his own road with the bulldozer. Hmm..can't say I blame him, though he should have tried suing the concrete factory.

He did try to sue. First, the concrete company dragged out the court case where the residents were forced to sell their homes - most residents ran out of lawyer money before the trial started; a common tactic for large corporations and the federal government, both in civil and criminal cases where they know they are likely to lose if it gets to trial. Only Martin held out long enough to win his case and keep his property. Then Martin sued the company to get access to a road and sewer lines, and lost.
