Once in a while you'll see something in the grocery store marked as 1.50c or something like that. You have to wonder about things like this...pretty sad.
Okay, this is really funny. I was only halfway through the thing when I posted haha. This is great.
"Do you recognize the difference between one dollar and one cent?"
"Yes, definitely."
"Do you recognize the difference between half a dollar and half a cent?"
"Definitely."
"Then do you therefore recognize that there's a difference between .002 dollars and .002 cents?"
"...No."
I'm still in awe.

I can see how an employee would get confused. When I see $.02, I think two cents, not .02 dollars. When whoever it was found the info for the guy saying it would cost $.002, he knew what he was trying to say but thought "two cents", like I did, come the end. No doubt this guy will end up fired anyway, but maybe they could write 1/5 of a cent in their database instead of $.002 which would confuse anyone. Since the caller couldn't see what the employee was seeing, he took her for what she said and thought she meant 1/500 of a cent rather than 1/5 of a cent.
Don't call me stupid, either, because you know you'd do the same thing.
This is awesome! I like when he says "I'm teaching math here."

i like how there were people who listened to this and didn't hear a problem with Verizon. Yes, people actually posted "Verizion was very patient and understanding with this guy. They told him 5 times his bill calculation was right, and he just didn't want to accept that." If you cant see the difference, you apparently need a job at verizion.
