Q: Who watches the watchers?
A: Competing watchers.

UMR certainly knows how to pick 'em. First a professor, then an officer. Who's next? Carney?

(1) "Deviate sexual intercourse" means any act involving the genitals of one person and the mouth, tongue, or anus of another person or a sexual act involving the penetration, however slight, of the male or female sex organ or the anus by a finger, instrument or object done for the purpose of arousing or gratifying the sexual desire of any person;

Section 566.064 Statutory sodomy, second degree
1. A person commits the crime of statutory sodomy in the second degree if being twenty-one years of age or older, he has deviate sexual intercourse with another person who is less than seventeen years of age.
2. Statutory sodomy in the second degree is a class C felony.

If this wasn't forcible, I have much less problem with the "Deviate sexual intercourse" than with the child porn (which was probably this girl's pictures so again...) Now, if I were her father, I would definitely be ready to string the fucker up, and even now I think it is awful, but lets face it, on the list of awful things people do, this isn't high up there (again, I am not defending this guy, just saying if neither of the females were coerced in any way, than this barely ranks on the horror totem pole...) I would be interested to hear the entire story, but from what I can extract, it seems as though this guy did something stupid, and needs to be punished, but it really doesn't sound like he is a rapist or pedophile (again, just what I have gleened from the newspaper article/eConnection email...)

I don't think what he did was too bad. How many of you guys would want to have a threesome with 16 and 18 year old girls? But he's a police officer, and knew the law, and should have obeyed it.

There are plenty of things that are illegal which I think should not be against the law - however, it is the law, and I expect those who are supposed to be enforcing the law, to obey it.

This is exactly where I have a problem with this situation. I see all to often oficers that abuse their power (running red lights with emergency lights on only through the intersection, just mostly small stuff), and it irks me to no end. This, however, takes the cake. Any officer that knowingly breaks the law like this should be grilled a bit more than the average citizen.

i think it meant THE pornography. if pornography was a class d felony a lot of the male population of missouri would be in prison.

Yeah, I think it's just the fine reporting of TRDN.

I couldn't imagine normal porn being illegal.

right, which is why i balked at their article. either the article was relying on Missouri Miner reporting techniques (make shit up or plagiarise wikipedia, then edit it over AIM) or we're all fucked :P

i lean towards the former.

Ha..I love Missouri's legal definition of deviate sexual intercourse. If it's illegal between consenting adults....hmm--are any of us safe?

Since this got bumped would just like to say the miner once again sucks.

Headline "Former UMRPD officer arrested" he is not a former officer, to be technical he is still a current officer pending investigation. Much of the article seems cut and paste from rolla daily news, which is well......not a source to copy from.
