So some lady in San Fran tried to make a citizens arrest on Carl Rove for war crimes or something, pretty weird video. Lets try to keep this one civil.

the public arrest thing is kind of attention whoring. then again it would have been hilarious to see handcuffs on him. it's okay, we catch petty thieves but illegal invasions? you're cool if you know the right people.

You'd have to put the entire US congress in handcuffs too - since you can't go to war without a declaration.

And its definitely attention whoring - since a citizen's arrest is only legal if you've witnessed a felony. I guess that there wasn't enough people visiting her blog - http://algoreismygod.com

The US hasn't technically declared war since WWII. Korea, Vietnam, Desert Storm, Afghanistan and Iraq are all "military operations"

The United Nations Charter has made an official declaration of war a redundant artifact of pre-information age society. All the military actions have been authorized by congress, which is all that is required by the Constitution, and lack only the formal name of "Declaration of War."
