lol WOW

You sir are a great example of stupidity on the internet and a FANBOY.

Let me be absolutely clear this time because obviously it takes saying it 3 times to explain it to you. Geesh...
IT WAS A TIGERDIRECT REBATE!!!!

It was address to them, it went to one of their PO Box's and it said Tigerdirect on the DAMN REBATE. Not consair or memorex or Lite-on or any other company. It was a TG rebate. You don't believe me I don't flipp'n care.

Fact is your not even worth the reply or effort it takes to explain it because I really don't give a shit about your opinion.

But it's only valid on orders purchased from a Tiger Direct company, therefore being a Tiger Direct rebate.

hey guys, been awhile since I've posted here, but a friend told me about whats going on over here. Anyway, I'm a senior member on the board. I wanted to update you guys properly of what is developing behind the scene.

So you all know that Newegg shipped ~300 Intel i7 920 CPUs that turned out to be frauds/ES samples (pick your poison). Intel or Newegg are not held being help responsible for the shipment of these products. See here for furthest development of the matter. Anyway, the distributors are being put to blame in this case, and in retaliation, the distributors are sending sis and decease letters to some of our forum members, our forum, and other forums. They request that all the pictures and information, be taken down.

In the end a lot of people are going to be hit around and blamed.

Side note: Newegg has been very helpful on our forum, including Intel, in representing amazing support and helpful hands with this horrible incident.

And guess who the holding company that owns Tiger Direct is? Yes, that's right, it's Systemax.

Newegg wrote:
Newegg is currently conducting a thorough investigation surrounding recent shipments of questionable Intel Core i7-920 CPUs purchased from Newegg.com.

Initial information we received from our supplier, IPEX, stated that they had mistakenly shipped us "demo units." We have since come to discover the CPUs were counterfeit and are terminating our relationship with this supplier. Contrary to any speculation, D&H Distributing is not the vendor that supplied us with the Intel Core i7-920 CPUs in question.

Newegg's top priority is to proactively reach out to all customers who may have been affected to ensure their absolute satisfaction. We have already sent out a number of replacement units and are doing everything in our power to resolve the matter promptly and with the least amount of inconvenience to our customers.

We have always taken pride in providing an exceptional experience for each customer, and we apologize for any inconvenience to our valued customers. We take matters like this extremely seriously, and are working in close cooperation with Intel and the appropriate law enforcement authorities to thoroughly investigate this incident.
