Please stop beating this dead horse of a joke. It wasn't funny the first time some guy told it 100 years ago or so, and it isn't funny now.

Make up your own NEW fake acronym, and I will laugh again.

Patrick fails to realize that really that acronym would insult Farm Sanctuary more since it's more for veganism. PETA is more against animal cruelty.

I agree; KFC is absolutely horrible. What kind of business makes its money killing millions of one type of animal? They should realize that they'd make much more money if their food was made from more than some stupid bird. I want my chicken wrapped in bacon with a veal steak on top, damnit!

Awesome! Nothing like clubbing a baby seal before I leave to go to kung fu.

Meh. I'd say PETA promotes veganism just as much as Farm Sanctuary. And both are opposed to animal cruelty.

I think Farm Sanctuary is a wonderful organization. They get waaaay less media attention than PETA, though.

Hopefully this winter I will doing a second internship at Farm Sanctuary in NY.

As long as I insulted somebody, my job here is done.

I understand the viewpoints behind these groups, but I don't really respect the groups themselves. If you want to be vegetarian, more power to you. If you want to boycott restaurants that don't kill their animals "humanely" then so be it. But I don't see why you need to join a group to reinforce your beliefs. I might feel differently if I saw these activist groups actually accomplishing anything more than announcing their existance at every possible opportunity.

If someone can't stand for their beliefs on their own, they shouldn't stand for them at all, in my opinion.

This goes both ways, by the way, with conservatives hiding behind churches just as much as liberals hide behind activist groups.

For those of you who are not fortunate enough to have butchered a chicken before then this is general instructions.

Steps:
1: Catch the Chicken
2a: if you live in AR, rape the chicken, then continue to 2b.
2b: if you live anywhere else== talk calmly to the chicken and make it relax
3: lay it down on the ground with it's head under a broom handle and you holding the legs
4: step on both ends of the handle
5: pull the legs away from the handle
6: if the head becomes seperated from the body then toss the chicken to the side
7: after blood has stopped squirting... pluck or skin the body
8: degut and clean
9: repeat as many times necessary.

Because the chickens live a good life this is not unhumane.

I always thought that you hung them upside down in a killing cone and punctured their jugular vein and let them bleed to death that way.

That is how you can do turkeys. Because their neck is too strong to just pull it off. But with Chickens the head has to come off either way and this has been found to be the fastest way!

Yeah, but prostitution did. It's not like mass media turned the world's population into sex fiends. We always have been and have simply recently gotten a new way to indulge in it.
