In the last 4 games, they've scored one run. And given up 41.
This team was in the running for a playoff spot last year, and was picked by many media outlets to win the division this year.
I'm still a fan, but it's really hard to get off my butt and pay to see these guys play this year. My hats off to the birds across the state for picking up the slack.
Actually they've only given up 32 in the last 4 games. Not sure where I got that number.
Even if we had George Brett, he would have been traded in the annual fire sale our hapless team goes through. The Royals have been a farm team since 1985. I guess being so close to Kansas has rubbed off on them.

but the cards on the other hand are whipping ass! I think that they're something like 20 games over 500 and 4 games ahead of the Cubs right now. And it's not even the all-star break yet. Now if only they can keep this up for the rest of the season.

Hey, fuck you buddy, Kansas is not any more screwed up than Mizery is.
Oh, wait, that's not saying much.
Yeah, it would be nice if the Royals would/could keep their talent.
Actually, it would be nice if they just won games. Winning = tech.

There's no need to be defensive when I associate Kansas with farms. It wasn't intended to be an insult. Neither of our states is well regarded or even regarded period on a national scale. Few people even believe me when I tell them that there is a Kansas City in Missouri.
Anyway, yeah, the Royals are on pace for their worst season in franchise history. Again. Not even Tony Pena's optimism can make this team smile anymore. I'd really hate to be on that team now. I've got the luxury of not watching when it gets this bad.

Correction Cards are 6 games up on the Cubs now. Man I used to be a huge Royals fan growing up. George Brett was my hero...him and Kurby Puckett. I'd always go to see the Twins vs. the Royals. I love the Royals stadium too...I think it's much nicer than Busch stadium.
I just saw the royals play the twins last monday. too bad it had to be at the metrodome. that was the first game that they had a complete game shutout thrown against em. it was funny stuff. the royals seriously looked like a minor league team (not to make fun of any minor league teams). Seriously, a joke.
