has anybody tried surround gaming with the matrox dualhead2go instead of the triple?

in other words, two monitors on the dualhead2go in an nvidia span with the other monitor output on the video card? Windows thinks it's one monitor, but the card might not be as easily fooled. could save $100 if it works.
