where can i take crt monitors to and get some $. i know no one here buys them and they're obsolete but even if it's the cost of a $0.99 menu item i'll do it.

Wondering that too, I have one I want to get rid of, even for free. Anyone know if Goodwill takes them?

I might know somebody who would be willing to take them, what are the specs on them?

one i have is an NEC 17" and the other is a HP 15"

both work well. the NEC has a little short near the plug; just have to arrange the wire right for it to work.

is there some sort of recylcing center that gives money for this stuff?

I'm gonna say that 90% of the time you're going to have to PAY for electronics recycling. There's a few exceptions for electronics with gold in them, but that's usually only motherboards and various cards.

Just call up the salvation army or goodwill, they'll take 'em, and you can write it off as a tax deduction (don't you wish you'd thought of this a week ago?)
