I am sending my old laptop in to Best Buy's Trade-in program and it says "If you have a Microsoft operating system, please erase the operating system software from the device." I just did XP reinstall but i think they want it with a blank HD. Any ideas?
I was thinking about ubuntu then format c:/? Also any live cd distro have a DOD wipe program?

Thanks

DBan worked like a charm. Is great if you want to completely wipe an entire computer, but don't use it if you just want one drive. That option is non existent.
