Okay, I am helping out someone who needs to use one of these computers as a secondary (family vs office), and I get to sell the other one, but I'm not sure which one someone might want more. Here's the two machines:
-no hdd -1.7ghz celeron -533mhz fsb -built-in 15" lcd -more specs in link
Dell Dimension 3000 -normal tower -no hdd -2.8ghz p4 -800mhz fsb -more specs in link
Those are really the only differences. Personally I'd like the profile 4 just because it's so compact and odd, but that's just me. Of course I'd rather make the 3000 my main computer if I had to choose between them just because of functionality.
Any case, I'd like to know what the community (what little's left) likes more. Thanks.
peace

depends on what they're using it for. Some people like to have a computer in their kitchen - the gateway would probably be better for that since it takes up less space. If it's going in a computer room / office area then the Dell would probably be better since it's faster.

I would use the Dimension more. I have never liked the all in one pc's because I don't feel they are upgradeable at all. The Dimension would probably run cooler and last longer because everything isn't crammed into such a small space.

Thanks koopa
uh, just in case no one noticed, there is a poll at the top. I figured that I'd get more responses if people didn't have to actually leave a post, but of course, I could be wrong.
peace,
