My computer absolutely refuses to expel any sound at all... I have tried numerous things. 1) reinstalling drivers 2) putting a different sound card in (w/ uninstalling the on board drivers) and updating the drivers, and searching all over the net for other drivers and installing them. 3) disabling my on board sound via BIOS set up, and trying the other sound card and updating drivers again ect. I have no idea what else to do, so any ideas? |

you might check in windows to see what it's using to put out the sound. I've got a usb turntable that will take over the sound drivers occasionally when I use it and not revert when I'm done. These are for XP: Right click on "Volume Control", Adjust Audio Properties, Audio tab, and Sound playback. make sure that matches w/ what you're wanting to use |

The other obvious question is: have you tried using different output devices to make sure its not that? |

I'm guessing that he just got some q-tips for xmas, so he must have been replying to SC. - OR - He's pre-cognitive and you haven't given your suggestion yet. At least you don't have to come up with anything now, because it won't work. |
