How do people go about changing their mst e-mail username? You know, whatever@mst.edu. I'd like mine to be more professional and I've seen others do it. Will e-mail sent to the old letter-jumble forward to the new name?

It was on the helpdesk front page fyi.

http://helpdesk.mst.edu/students/friendlyalias.html

if you sign up for this, you have two email aliases that both go to the same box: the mst ID and the new alias.

I noticed in the CLC that the cover sheet that gets printed by some people have what they want it to say, instead of their MST ID, is this how you change that?

Remote printing ftw. I have my laptop set to print to the TJ CLC, and the 1st floor library printer(the one to the right of the front door). That way, I don't have to find an open computer or have to go upstairs to the larger computer area. I just sit over by the 1st floor printer and print from my laptop.

-For people who want to do this for Windows, go to 'Add Windows Components'(usually the same window as add/remove programs) and add 'Other Network File and Print Services' (you need to add 'Print Services for Unix'). You may need your windows disk to do this.
-After that, go to add printer and make sure you select Local printer, but uncheck plug and play printers. Click Next.
-Select create new port and pick LPR port. Click next.
-Next, go to printer.mst.edu and find what printer you want to print to. For the TJ CLC, the address of the printer is tjclc.printer.mst.edu and the name of the printer is tjclc. Click next.
-Now you have to select the make and model of the printer you want to print to. The TJ CLC, RC CLC, and Library first floor all happen to use HP LaserJet 4000PS drivers. I don't know about other printers though. You will have to go look at the printer it self and find the model number. Be aware though that even though the TJ CLC printer is like an HP LaserJet 4250 or something, it will still work perfectly with LaserJet 4000 PS drivers. Click next.
-Now you just need to name it whatever you want to show up on your computer and you're done. Hope this helps people who want to printer remotely. It's 100% better than having to find an open computer, wait for the slow computer to log you in and then open the file hoping the correct software is on the CLC computers.

Step 1: Setup a dual booted version of Windows.
Step 2: Follow Kingkoopa's instructions.
Step 3: Realize that my advice pretty much defeats the purpose of having a mac and google how to setup a network printer for a mac.

DirectX 10. :D

But let's not be a troll Calc, the compatibility issues are far from severe.
