The operating system uses page tables to map this 4 GB address space into the 64 GB of RAM, and the map is usually different for each process. In this way the extra memory is useful even though no single regular application can access it all simultaneously.

I can't seem to find instructions that are retarded enough to follow. All of Microsoft's instructions say to use "BCDEdit /set" to activate PAE, but that function wasn't implemented until Vista. XP doesn't have that program, and I can't find any other way to use PAE, 4GT, or any other memory management protocol. This is pissing me off, and I wonder if I should cancel my Newegg RMA, since now I have a significant reason to doubt that it is a memory issue.
