My internet went out 2 nights ago for a few hours - I heard it happened to a few others at least. Anyways, before on usenet I pulled in ~400KB/s. Now I'm seeing a big difference. With QoS on and capping me at 4500kbps, I'm pulling ~530KB/s consistently. Uncapped QoS, and now I'm pulling ~590KB/s. Consistently.

Kudos to fidelity for fixing / upgrading something... if that's what happened.

Yeah, the last two nights around 12:30 they've cut the internet for a couple hours. I already called them and they said its just scheduled maintance but I wonder if they could be getting things ready for a possible Speed upgrade?

It'd be nice to pull in 10mb or more.

Last nights was not planned, according to them. They were doing upgrades a couple of nights ago, but they said a section of the town was down with problems as a result of the upgrade last night when I called them.

Down 10th street on the right side, they have a trailer with cable running in from the ground. It also sounds like its running off a generator.

Past 2 nights we've lost it around 12:30ish am and gotten it back real earlyin the morning. Haven't noticed any spectacular improvements though

The right side? Is that descriptive at all?

Yeah I was pulling 600kb/s consistently off of Steam for the Empire: Total War demo this morning. My download never ever goes over 500kb/s. I really hope they upgrade something or other, be nice to maybe get higher speed at *gasp* a cheaper price point.
