Ok, so I'd like to just be able to tweet by txt from my phone. I've got a Samsung Instinct, but everytime I try to "verify my device" it doesn't work. I use the format +1816XXXYYYY in the box like they ask. Then I get the code to txt back to 40404, and I do, but then nothing changes. I've tried this several times w/ several different codes.

Is this an issue anyone else has, or am I doing something wrong?

Also, this is not a thread to discuss the quality of the Instinct or other phones. Please behave accordingly.

Turns out there was a "lock" on my account w/ Sprint with regards to texting the Short Codes. No clue where that came from.

Might be default on child accounts so they don't accidently spend all their parents money getting their horoscope 100 times a day. Also yes, I just called you a child. lulz!

Nice try, but this was my mother's number before it was mine. So I don't think they would have put a lock on it. I think it has more to do with us changing plans w/in sprint multiple times, having been an long time sprint customer (with old random stuff carrying over), and being on a corporate discount.
