This is a neat idea, to build an entire computer case out of PVC pipe and other components you can find at a local hardware store. But where to begin?

The PVC pipe is easy to obtain. The other components, such as the metal bars for screwing your hard-drives in place, or the grill to mount the motherboard on, are a little more difficult to obtain.

Does anybody have any ideas of what parts are required to build a PVC motherboard? Hopefully enough information can be accumulated so that a HowTo can be written, and a trip to the hardware store be as simple as pointing at a piece of paper.

Guarantee both those could be bought at Lowes

the metal bars should be over by the angle iron and the grill material should be over in building materials by the florescent ceiling light lenses.

I guess I mean difficult to obtain meaning I don't know what they are called, and cannot simply walk up to a store clerk and ask "Where's the polypneumatic steel brace?" It's difficult to be an engineer if you don't know where your assembly parts are located.

When I'm in that situation I literally just wander around lowes picking up different things that might work for what i'm looking for, until I find something that fits the bill. This usually does just fine for me.
