In case nobody else had noticed Windows 7 Professional is now up on MSDNAA for those who have access to it.

Really? I graduated in May 2008 and can still get in, my username is actually an @umr.edu address, not an mst.edu one.

I suppose I better get it before my access is yanked.

Edit: Mine says Windows 7 Beta (x86) - DVD

Is this really the full RTM version?

IST doesnt have it added to the list yet. Send an email to Bih-ru Lea since she's the MSDNAA administrator.

I'm not, I don't even have access to my mst.edu email anymore. Anyone else want to email her? :D

agreed. EE has access and been using RTM Windows 7 Professional x64 for a couple days. I'm enjoying it.

Speaking of having the full/non-beta version of 7 Pro...

Quote:
Windows 7 Ultimate is, as you might have guessed, the ultimate version of Windows. Unlike Vista, where it was the combo of Home and Business with a couple added features, this time, it's like the end user version of Enterprise—in other words, the Enterprise version that regular people can buy. It has BitLocker, notably, and a few other advanced features. It seems like visibility of this will be low, outside of a few "special promotions" from vendors occasionally, to minimize confusion.
(taken from gizmodo; emphasis added)

It would seem the above quote is true, since the version of Ultimate we have access to on MSDNAA is still the RC version. Anyone know/think we'll get the RTM/final version of Win7 Ultimate?

Highly doubt it, they usually only give us the business type one and I figured that was professional. Not that it will affect much, I have not noticed a single difference between the months I spent on Ultimate beta/RC and the Professional I have had on my desktop since like Thursday.

I am very happy with it though, I <3 libraries.

Since I still have an old beta installed on one of my partitions, is it possible to upgrade it to the Professional RTM?

No, you cannot do a straight upgrade from the Beta/RC Ultimate edition and the release Pro edition. I tried it, didn't work.
