I had no problems getting it, both x64 and x86 copies. I'm off campus though.

After I downloaded it, it didn't do anything. I had to manually find where it saved the image, burn the image to a DVD and boot to the disc to install everything.

In the end, it all worked out.

Anybody know if you can grab mult copies of 7 off MSDNAA? I'd like to use x64 vers on my laptop and desktop, but aren't sure if I can grab 2 copies.

I could use x86 keys for x64 Vista and it worked fine, but I'm not sure about Win7. I think it should still work.

I found that a few others are having this issue after googling, but no real answer out there.

EDIT: I think I might see the problem, when I downloaded the 64bit downloader it created a file called en_windows_7_professional_x86_dvd_x15-65804.01.sdc
its the x86 version, maybe thats why the CRC check is failing

Server is retarded

when I downloaded the x64 edition, I saved the downloader program to my computer rather than running it from the web portal. When I ran it as an executable, everything worked fine for me, but who knows? Maybe I just got lucky.

To steal from Neil Patrick Harris in How I Met Your Mother - No that counts as one. You've had sex once.

:wink:

Running regedit to see what the ELMs provided installer is doing on my machine...

HKEY LM --> Software --> EACADEMY --> SDC --> 61176
cloc = http://software.msdnaa.net/MSDNAA/ENGLI ... 804.01.sdc

I noticed the x86 in the URL concluding this is the wrong cab file for the 64-bit DVD version.

Some luck reveals the correct URLs for the 64-bit are:

http://software.msdnaa.net/MSDNAA/ENGLI ... 805.01.sdc
and
http://software.msdnaa.net/MSDNAA/ENGLI ... 805.02.sdc

Likewise the 32-bit are:

http://software.msdnaa.net/MSDNAA/ENGLI ... 804.01.sdc
and
http://software.msdnaa.net/MSDNAA/ENGLI ... 804.02.sdc

Bottom line is if you run the installer from ELMS for the 64-bit it's downloading the wrong version so it breaks the CRC check.

On to the more important work around...

Use a download manager and get the two sdc files onto your local machine. Then follow instructions provided http://www.windows7hacker.com/index.php ... om-msdnaa/ to unpack and you'll see an .iso

You'll still need to "purchase" in ELMS to get the one time Product Key before you can install the 64-bit Windows 7.

Fair enough Bro. I did use additional words in my post to describe the root cause of the symptoms experienced to make the solution easier to understand and follow. Right now I could just point out that your post didn't include a workaround and mine did, but that would just be rude.

Cheers mate.
