After I downloaded it, it didn't do anything. I had to manually find where it saved the image, burn the image to a DVD and boot to the disc to install everything.
In the end, it all worked out.

I get to the 'Checking File CRC' it gets 1 bar and just sits there. Dosent fail or move. Log file shows nothing
Trying it on a different computer
I found that a few others are having this issue after googling, but no real answer out there.
EDIT: I think I might see the problem, when I downloaded the 64bit downloader it created a file called en_windows_7_professional_x86_dvd_x15-65804.01.sdc its the x86 version, maybe thats why the CRC check is failing

when I downloaded the x64 edition, I saved the downloader program to my computer rather than running it from the web portal. When I ran it as an executable, everything worked fine for me, but who knows? Maybe I just got lucky.

Fair enough Bro. I did use additional words in my post to describe the root cause of the symptoms experienced to make the solution easier to understand and follow. Right now I could just point out that your post didn't include a workaround and mine did, but that would just be rude.
