Back when i still had my account under @umr.edu, i 'bought' all of the software and made myself an excel files of all of the keys. I'll probably do the same when I graduate. So I'm now a proud legal owner of something like 12 windows XP and vista keys.

The sad part is that I'm using most of those.

Oh, and if anyone has tried, after the account has been disabled, is it possible that if you have the downloader and the key, would you still be able to download the iso or is that disabled as well?

Sorry for the double-post. Get live-topic auto-merge already.

I don't know about the ISO downloader, but I don't see why you couldn't torrent a copy of Windows, or use a friend's CD to install it but use your CD key. And the CD key should always work. I don't think Microsoft deactivates them, I've still used mine for new installations as recently as a few months ago and I graduated in May 2008.
