i never liked alienware... too gawdy. i prefer a nice grey on black box that sits on my desktop, not a huge oversized bright green alien head with glowing eyes or whatever! personally i've always liked falcon northwest for their custom case designs. they make pretty powerful machines (nothing ultra great super gaming cutting edge, but i'm sure you could easily rack up $5k on their site!) and the extotix cases are pimptight http://www.falcon-nw.com

I just other motherboard manufacturers follow suit and design boards with several 16x PCIe slots. I was always pissed off that they didn’t make motherboards with multiple AGP slots. That would have made it so much easier to do a multi-monitor setup with full 3D acceleration.

The reason they don't make motherboards with multiple AGP slots is that they can not because of the nature of the interface.
Yikes. 5 Grand for a computer. Way overpriced. You can build 8 great gaming machines for that price.
