A quick question. What is the whole deal with the rising sun flags in the windows at TJ?

The short answer is that they are the 'official' symbol of the fourth floor in the north tower.

The longer answer is that they represent 21 years of history. The basic idea is that 21 years ago, a group of people living on 4 north were going to either flunk out or get kicked out, so they decided to throw a rather large party and 'get bombed'. The date was on or about December 7th, which is the origin of the associtaion of Pearl Harbor with 4 north. That is why every December we throw a large party. Try the punch.

It was much better last year, when they had a steady supply of punch.

I have two suggestions for improvement on the Pearl Harbor deal:

(1) Girls
(2) Non-Rolla girls. Preferrably from Truman, Cottey, or some all girls catholic model school where sinful things like men and masturbation are prohibited.

I have another suggestion... no Maleah Arvieux. She's a real annoying bitch. Other than that, it is ok.

You would have a hard time finding people to defend her. She ranks right up there with GMF and Kip.

Why would you people celebrate on this date? Do you not remember the hundreds of Ameican soldiers that were lost at Pearl Harbor? I think that by displaying the rising sun flag you are pretty much telling all veterans of war to go fuck themselves and that you don't care that they risked their lives for your freedom. This whole "21 years of tradition" is in extremely poor taste.

Please explain how it would be more offensive if it were to be called hiroshima day and a nuke for a flag.

I believe that flag is currently used by the Japanese Navy.
