Was lame Come on! I went out and read that it's supposed to be a trilogy. They definitely left me hanging though. Urgh.

Since it's a trilogy, it will have cliff hangers to make you want to go out and buy the second when its released. Which prolly won't be till 2010.

Oh yeah, I had to cheat to make it through the non-alien parts. Most games bore the crap out of me, and this wasn't an exception. But it had a decent story and I wanted to play through it. So I made it so sprinting didn't use any of the suit's energy, and sprinted from objective to objective... it was worth it.

Yeah, I really liked it a lot. But i went through the whole game trying to sneak and snipe as many people as possible.

Eh, apples and oranges. I used to be a huge fan of openended games but am not anymore. I only played farcry 2 for a few hours before stopping. Haven't touched since the week I installed it.

The flaw of farcry 2 is that its so open ended that it seems like there is no direction to the game. You're supposed to kill the Jackal. Ok. But you spend 95% of your time in the game trying to get from waypoint to waypoint because the map is huge and the guards always respawn.

Crysis was open ended enough that it felt open ended, but you still had a very clear direction to go in the game.

I eventually set the cloaking drain rate to 0, but never ended up using cloaking because it takes so freaking long to get around. My favorite sneak game was Dark Messiah of Might and Magic. Sneaking was actually useful - you could backstab for an insta-kill.
