Also, there will be no console tournaments at this event. Maybe if we can get msft to sponsor the larger spring event would can get a console section.
If we brought our own?
I suppose you can bring our own console and TV, but we won't be having any console tournaments at this LAN. Note: all the games listed on the poll are the PC versions of the games. If you voted COD4 because you wanted to play on xbox360, sorry.
Yep I voted CoD4 for the 360
Will there be pc's with a copy of the game there we could play as I dont have a copy of CoD4 for the PC.
Another vote for consoles from me. It's much easier to bring a 360 w/ monitor then dragging my PC w/ the watercooling tower. I've got a XPS laptop but it's nearing its usefulness for playing all the newer games.
If there was some console support at this, I'd definitely be going but without anything, I'll probably just pass on it like I did last time for this very reason.
BTW, I also voted COD4 just because I could have always just used a 360 controller with little changes to how I play now.

I would be interested in bringing a 360 + 4 Controllers + Halo 3 + COD 4, that is if someone could obtain a TV, 4 player splitscreen insto too great on a 20 in TV.

Note to those who want to bring consoles, please respect the headphones rule. Generally speakers are not allowed at LANs. As for the list of offical rules and FAQ and such, the site is being worked on and hopefully will be up by the weekend. Also, for those of you who want a sponsored console LAN so bad you should come to the ACM meetings and let your voice be heard. If you don't tell us what you want before we make plans, than it is hard to feel sorry for you.

Well I want to take part in ACM but I have a class Thursday nights from 6-9.
Maybe you can skip class on 11/20 - a guy from Microsoft will be coming in to give a talk about Cloud Computing, then after that he's going to be running a Halo/Rockband/GoW2 event

One vote for Unreal Tournament 3. Or at least Unreal Tournament 2004. I would prefer 3 if we get enough people.
What kind of tournament would you suggest? My competitive experience with UT2004 was with 1v1, 4v4 TDM, and 3v3 TAM, and I haven't played much UT3.
I can run either server (non tournament) at the lan, but I'd prefer not to run both. Let me know what you think would be most popular and I'll set it up. My vote would be for UT2004.
Most competitive is 1v1DM, 4v4TDM...I'm actually quite a fan of 4v4CTF. I'd prefer UT3, but if we don't have enough people for it, UT2k4 would be ok. It's been a while since I've played 2k4, lol.
As far as tournament stuff goes, 1v1DM, 4v4TDM, or 4v4 (maaaaaybe 3v3 if we can't get enough people) CTF?

OMG pure sex
Would anybody be up for some RTS games, I know they won't be tourney but would be cool to LAN some up, I am thinking Supreme Commander, possibly some Company of Heroes.

What time and where is this happening?
It's the ACM meeting on November 20th... I think the talk will start at 7:00 in CS209a... We don't know where the 360 stuff will be yet though.
