What do you think? Seems pretty cool to me. A little bare boned on content atm.

Anybody have a chance to try the new netflix? I am waiting to get username/pass from the 'rents before I try it out.

I'm unimpressed. It isn't bad, but it isn't anything amazing.

And have you noticed EVERYTHING is focused toward females, blank friends with no avatar, female shape, in the avatar customize screen, female on the thumbnails.

I think that me and every other 360 owner in the world is downloading it now because my installation is going really slow.

I am looking forward to the Netflix HD streaming. It won't be as good as Blu-Ray, but if I want to watch a movie right now and don't wait to wait for it to arrive in the mail, it'll be good. Hopefully the selection will get better over time.

The netflix thing is pretty cool. It's got a decent picture, but Fidelity can't hold the bandwidth to let it stream at the top HD quality. Kinda lame that you're still tied to a PC, but not the worst thing in the world.

Netflix is nice, dashboard looks cosmetically better than before. But if you have a theme with content at the top i can't fucking red the text in the top corner! WTF!!! Some themes are covered with that goddamn dome thing! I feel like i am playing a Wii, i mean what a wii should have been, with a good controller. I ripped halo 3 to my HD. TOOK FOR FUCKING EVER. Then bungie is like "Don't do that!."

I like it alot actually but i think some of the focus was put into area's that it didn't need and a few got neglected. Something things are harder to get to now than before and menu options moved around to weird locations. Why would i go to my avatar to change my theme? Why can't i get to active downloads except by using the old dashboard on the guide button? Weird stuff. Overall its nice, good change of pace. Hopefull in a year the games will take advantage of HD's on there and M$ will stop raping the HD price's

Having played around with it, it's going to take some getting used to. I think the previous dashboard was easier to navigate. It really seems like all they did was add a bunch of eye candy at the expense of usability. Maybe it'll grow on me, but so far, I don't think it lives up to the hype.

I really like the load to disk thing, did it with GoW2 and now my console doesn't sound like a Blackhawk on take off throughout the entire game.

I think its cool. Guide is much quicker in-game, which is good.

So can I go rent games and copy them to my hard drive and keep it forever?

Did you really just ask that? You think M$ is going to let that slide? Of course not. You have to have the disc in while playing, it just won't read off the disc. It's used mainly to speed up load times (in most games) and reduce the noise produced by the drive.

Nope, you've got to have the disk in the drive to play the games off the harddrive. There for a while I thought that same thing too but realized that they wouldn't leave something open like that. So yeah, you have to keep the game and still have the game in the dvd drive. Probably later you can buy the game online and play from the HD... it kind of takes the whole point of having the games on the harddrive doesn't it, but for those with loud dvd drives, it's a big plus.
