Had been checking every other day on the stock at the Overland Park store and it started ~17 then dwindled to 7 in a couple days. I get to the store, find the CPU case and there are zero i7 920's there. Bought shit my pants. Found somebody and asked if there were any more left. He checks the pc and says he'll go check the back. As soon as he's gone, this flashes to mind:

So I think I'm fucked. About 5 minutes pass by and he comes back with an i7 920. Said they had taken them all down to do inventory. pheww..

Just (and I mean just) placed my order on newegg for the mobo and ram. The "books" checked out ok so I just went ahead and bit the bullet. Lamest part about finding the right hardware.. paying.
