I am planning to take sp&m 85 next sem but confused b/w which professor to choose. Can some one recommend me from these 3.
Aaron Eckstein William Haynes Marsha Kaiser
I had Kaiser when I took the class. We didn't do a whole lot in there, only 4 speeches throughout the whole semester. No quizzes or exams or anything. It wasn't a bad class with her as the prof. I've not heard of the other 2, though.

Sorry it is a blackboard (online) class. You give two video taped speeches and mail them in. Since those are your "tests" she wants them to be done in an academic environement, so you can have them recorded for like $20 each at the VCC in the library.

This is for a speech class... how could it be hard to fail? You get up, talk for a bit on some random thing while maintaining eye contact with the audience, and sit down.
It's obvious that this is an easy A class, it's just a matter of who makes class more interesting.
Eckstein's class would be most interesting IMO. When I took his class a few years back, he was really into 9/11, conspiracy theories, and freedom. Once or twice he had a "pop speech" where you just had to talk on some random thing that he brought up. I thought it kept things interesting.
Some people have mental blocks when it comes to public speaking. They might be super talkative and outgoing in a group of friends but put them in front of other people and they lock up. That being said I think most speech classes use the first speech as a benchmark and grade you on your improvement from that point throughout the semester so it shouldn't be to hard to get an A.
