I'm considering doing this for my last 2 years of college, probably somewhere in Canada, as I want to experience another country's culture (even though there's is similar) and it's close enough to home (Well, anywhere in Canada is quite a drive from St. Louis, but it's not overseas). Plus, I can have a car there (huge plus as well, a 2 year old car isn't sitting at home for a year) . Does anyone know how UMR's study abroad program works? I assume they work with the other college to make sure everything transfers over. Plus, which college's name is on my degree? UMR, or the other one? I'd still like to take advantage of UMR's job placement services (career fair, the COC, ect). Since I'm still sort of a UMR student, do I get those? Thanks

No, these people have learned from pop culture. You must milk a joke, and milk it and milk it. Then beat it... like a dead horse. Then return to milking it once you have liquified it's insides. Then wear it's skin, because that'll be funny too. Once you ahve been sure to use up ALL the funniness in said joke, make a minor photoshop adjustment and REPEAT!!!!!!!!!11111oneoneoenenoeon1111on1onbbq

You really think Canada is studying abroad? Geeze. Thats really not a study abroad program - even the summer in London studying theatre isnt really considered studying abroad. Learn a language and try a real abroad is the only way you can really consider it "studying abroad."

I hate to tell you, but I'm currently looking into studying abroad, and the office of international affairs (And whoever is responsible for study abroad here, I forget his name) was completely worthless when I told him I didn't want to do one of like the 2-3 programs Rolla have. Be warned, you may be doing all the work yourself through a constant stream of contact with the school / program you'd like to work with.

When you say 2-3 programs, do you mean there are only 2-3 colleges around the world that I can choose from?
I'd really like to do the study abroad thing to retain the benefits of being a UMR student, but I may consider just transferring if I can't do it through UMR
