Someone stuck a router between 50 people and the internet tonight. When my ip was in the 192.168 range I knew something was up. After a bit of investigating, I got into the router and passworded it then disabled DHCP. It seems like a deliberate thing - the DNS server that it broadcast was "poop" and the search domains it listed came out to "It\'s screwing over 50 people".
So whoever you are... pretty lame, I hope you get caught (which you will, Karl will find you).

Yup, way to go. I was the one that renamed the thing to "disconnect this crap from the network" and "it's screwing 50 people over"... my roommate and I tried disabling the DHCP server on it also since it had default password, but that didn't seem to fix the problem on my end, so we went to IT with the mac address and it was resolved later on.
