I used to have microsoft photo editor on my old computer, it was so useful. Between paint and that I could do anything. But I can't seem to find it to install it on my new laptop.

Does anybody know of a good, free photo editing software that lets me save as different file types, of different quality, .gifs with transparent backgrounds, etc.

I need this for a class, by the way.
