The UMR Army ROTC rifle team took first place in the Precision class at the Washington University 1st Annual Air Rifle Competition. Two of our shooters received plaques for being the top two shooters in the division. We took two teams of four and both teams did well. Each team member is now qualified to compete for a $1000 scholarship through the Civilian Marksmanship Program. They award 100 scholarships each year and shooters can apply each year they are in school.
Just thought you might be interested.
Don't tell anyone, but we were the only two teams to shoot in the Precision class. ISU did not show up.

Bah, who cares about air rifles? What UMR needs is a practical pistol team. I don't actually know the difference between IDPA and IPSC, but we need something similar. That would friggin rock. THAT is why we'll never do it. Not because of politics, but because it would be awesome, and we cannot have that at UMR.
Congrats to the team, hopefully they can do well at the CMP match.
