Seriously, this year we are pulling out all the stops and it is definetley worth going with friends. All money goes to benefit the UMR Mining Engineering Department Organizations, Mucking Teams, and Mine Rescue Teams. Come out and get scared.

By "pulling out all the stops," do you mean it'll be more extreme this year than before? I've loved it in the past, and I'm going again this year regardless, but it'd be nice if it were a little different than before.

There will be alot of new stuff this year, plus we're retiring alot of old and tired pieces we've done in the past.

For those with kids, there needs to be a correction...it's only $4.00 for kids. But kids still qualify as 10 and under

This sounds AWESOME! I want to go, but not alone. I'm kind of a wuss. As soon as I find someone willing to go with me and put up with me clutching their arm and screaming in their ear, I'm there!

it wasn't that good. 5 bucks and 2 cans for 10 minutes? meh. it wasn't bad by any means... but there was a lot of wasted potential there.

Every part of the mine is used, and if you take your time, it isn't that short.

i didn't say it was wasteful, it just had a lot of wasted potential. plus, we did take our time. im not saying it was bad by any means, but if you go too slow, then theres just a bunch of walking between the "thrills"

If there is so much wasted potential, please let some people in the mining deptartment know about your ideas so that maybe we can impliment some of them and have a Haunted Mine that is up to it's full potential. Now of course keep in mind too that we're on a tight budget and it's all volunteer.

Last night of Haunted Mine for the year is tomorrow night (Halloween). If you haven't been yet you should. It opens at 5 p.m. and runs until 10 p.m. The cost again is $6 for adults $4 for children (10 and under) and you get a dollar off your ticket price if you bring in two canned goods. (Limit 2 cans per ticket).

You can't please some people. The Haunted Mine... The Miner... People love to bash these things but don't offer any assistance in improving them (perhaps because it's beyond them to begin with).
