I got a call from the manager the other day telling me that I needed to pick up some deposits I made for some items there. It turns out that SamGoody is shutting it's doors permanently next Tuesday.

So I stopped by to pick up my deposits and ended up buying a ton of things on clearance there. Everything except video games is marked down by 10 to 75% off. All Movies/Music is 10%, MP3 player and cellphone accessories are 30% off, All CD accessories, batteries, cases, stands and the like are 50% off and all Posters, T-Shirts and Music calenders are 75% off.

What's funny is that I went all over town looking for D-cell batteries and they have tons of them there. the Energizer E^2 for a buck.

I also picked up a variable AC adapter for electronics with a variable Amp/Volt switch with a dozen connection pieces for 5 bucks, normally 40.

It's only worth looking if you want posters for $2 or need cheap DVD/CD media for 5-7 bucks.

They'll probably mark things down allot more later but that's what they are right now.

Dare I say, hella good deal on candy, though. 75% off. The store's pretty picked over, but if you need any iPod accessories, CD holders, or blank media, they still have a pretty good stock.

Damn, that sucks. I still do occasionally buy CDs, and they were my only source of CDs in this town, since all wal-mart sells is the censored crap.

Apparently you didn't buy enough. Way to go, tightwad. Maybe next time you shouldn't outsource most of your music supplies to online downloading sites.

I used to work for Wal-Mart in the electronics section. Every time a customer came to the register with a CD I would look for our "secret code" at the time and would tell customers that the CD was censored and that they should try Best Buy; that is until I was "spoken too" and, for some reason, did not work there about a month later...

Wall mart doesn't sell any good cd's anyways.

In other news. I actually found an In Flames DVD box set on sale at Sam Goody (2 dvds, 2 cd's, all live) hidden away under the glass counter. So that made my day. Despite missing class to make that purchase.
