This one flew under my radar.... I like it, but as it would remove the golf course (I don't know how many people use it), I can imagine some people not liking it. This will be interesting to see grow.

A research park is a tract of land dedicated to buildings and facilities for all types of research; From what I've been able to gather, it's for biotechnology and other advanced research so far. There's also something about student entrepreneurial aspects. Almost every university that's a "research university" has one.... might be cool.

There is a Research Park on Ft. Wood for the UM System. As far as I've been able to tell (my dept used to have 2 offices over there) there isn't much (any?) research that goes on, and it is like what gil-galad said.
